That’s the dilemma I found myself in when pitting Undetectable AI against SciSpace. On the one hand, you’ve got this AI bypasser that can make any text look like it was written by a human. On the other, you’ve got SciSpace, a free academic research assistant that boasts its own paraphrasing and detection capabilities.
Now, I’ll admit, I had high hopes for SciSpace. Anything that bills itself as a one-stop-shop for dissertation needs has got to have its act together, right? Well, spoiler alert, sometimes reality is just disappointing.

Undetectable AI is one of the best AI bypass tools (AI humanizers) in the market. It can turn any text into something unrecognizable by common AI detection tools. This works by changing the tone of your input, rearranging it, removing repetition and common AI words, and adding a few intentional mistakes.

So, let’s start with paraphrasing. This is going to be divided into two parts: which one paraphrases better and whose paraphrased versions avoid AI detection more.

SciSpace demonstrates a strong command of the English language, with a smooth tone and refined vocabulary. The sentence structure is complex yet cohesive, which makes it perfect for academic research. All words are spelled correctly (which may seem like a given for most essays, but this will matter later) and the overall readability is high.
Undetectable AI, while conveying the key information, has a more casual tone. The grammar is generally sound, but there are a few instances where the sentence structure could be improved for better flow and clarity. The spelling is not as accurate and the vocabulary isn’t as good as SciSpace.
There’s also the fact that SciSpace’s paraphrasing tool has an additional feature that lets you highlight a part of your text and it will rephrase it. SciSpace is just so much better as a traditional paraphraser than Undetectable AI.

The Bottom Line
There’s two sides to this article. Let’s start with their paraphrasing tools.
No doubt that SciSpace creates more readable text, but the problem here is that it would’ve been a great paraphraser…in 2019. If you’re targeting an academic demographic, your outputs should also consistently avoid AI detection, something that most universities regularly check for nowadays.
That’s not to say, however, that Undetectable AI was any better. It did pass as human every time, but it still hasn’t risen to the level of traditional paraphrasing tools in terms of writing.
As for SciSpace’s AI detection tool, well, it sucks. Plain and simple. It can detect text from GPT, Claude, Gemini, and other LLMs, but it’s still easily fooled by humanizers, especially ones that’s as good as Undetectable AI.
My opinion? Stick to QuillBot for traditional paraphrasing needs, Sapling or Winston for AI detection, and of course, Undetectable AI for bypassing. Good luck!
