LLMs have changed the education platform, both for better and for worse. These tools, originally designed for the betterment of humanity, are being abused by bad actors. In turn, professors resort to using AI detectors to combat widespread cheating.

But here’s the issue, it isn’t always right.

Even OpenAI themselves claimed that AI detection is unreliable. So, if you’re someone who’s afraid of false positives when doing academic research, here’s a huge tip for you:

Use Undetectable AI.

In this article, I’ll be outlining everything you need to do to avoid AI plagiarism in academic writing with this AI bypasser. Stay tuned!

What is Undetectable AI?

Undetectable AI is a popular AI-bypassing platform. This paraphrasing tool humanizes AI-generated text so that it wouldn’t be flagged by most AI detectors like CopyLeaks and Originality. If you’re interested, we’ve reviewed this tool already in the past and done so many intensive comparison articles like this one.

How To Use Undetectable AI for Academic Research?

Let’s say you asked ChatGPT to write a portion of your dissertation. The final output will, more or less, turn out fine. It will be well-researched to a degree, well-written, and structured appropriately. But you’re still faced with the following issues:

  • Possible fake or outdated information because of AI hallucinations.
  • Using AI to help write academic papers is ethically gray, but more on that later. We’re not talking about using it to do anything against academic integrity.
  • And most of all, it won’t pass most AI detectors.

That’s where Undetectable AI can help. Let me first generate a part of an academic paper using ChatGPT to show you what I mean.

Prompt: Write a short abstract for a dissertation titled “The Ethics and Philosophy of Proportionality in State Conflict and Retribution.”

This dissertation explores the ethical and philosophical complexities of proportionality in two domains: state conflict and retribution.  It examines the concept of proportionality within just war theory and its application to the moral permissibility of contemporary military interventions. The dissertation then analyzes the principle of proportionality in retributive justice, considering its role in balancing the severity of punishment with culpability and societal interests. By drawing on theoretical frameworks from political philosophy and moral psychology, the dissertation seeks to illuminate the challenges of achieving proportionality in these critical domains.

Now, let’s transform this abstract using Undetectable AI. Always remember to use the output parameters so that the final text maintains the correct tone and readability level. For this example, I’ll be using “University” for readability and “Report” for purpose.

ChatGPT + Undetectable AI

This dissertation explores the ethical and philosophical complexities of proportionality in two domains: state conflict and retribution. It examines the concept of proportionality within just war theory and its application to the moral permissibility of contemporary military interventions. The dissertation then analyzes the principle of proportionality in retributive justice, considering its role in balancing the severity of punishment with culpability and societal interests. By drawing on theoretical frameworks from political philosophy and moral psychology, the dissertation seeks to illuminate the challenges of achieving proportionality in these critical domains.

This study goes into the philosophical intricacies of proportionality, in two areas; state conflicts and retribution. It explores the notion of proportionality in war theory and how it influences the validity of modern military interventions. Also it scrutinizes how proportionality plays a part, in justice by weighing punishment severity against responsibility and societal well being. By utilizing perspectives from philosophy and moral psychology this study aims to shed light on the difficulties involved in attaining proportionality within these crucial spheres.

ChatGPT’s original abstract registers at 100% AI-generated when checked using Sapling, one of the best AI detectors as measured by our latest batch of testing. After Undetectable AI did its job, the AI likelihood score went down to 33.9%.

But we’re not done yet. If you scroll up and take a close look at Undetectable AI’s output, you will likely notice patterns of grammar mistakes and missed punctuations. This is a result of the platform adding intentional errors to mimic human writing. We have to remove those before your paper’s good to go.

Tweaking Undetectable AI’s Output

You have two options: either use QuillBot to fix the mistakes or do it yourself. I advocate the latter because you have better control of what the final output is going to look like and you can remove certain telltale signs that a piece of writing came from an LLM. Some examples of these are:

  • Repetitions.
  • Over-reliance on lists.
  • Too many adverbs and transition words.
  • Common AI words like “utilize”, “delve”, “examine”, and more.

Going manual also helps you proofread the paper better since LLMs tend to hallucinate fake information, which is something you must avoid in academic papers.

Additional Tip: AI Human Typer

If you need further proof that you wrote something and not an AI, I highly suggest taking a look at Undetectable AI’s Human Typer. This Chrome Extension simulates human typing (complete with an error and fix rate) so that your Google Doc has a history of “you” finishing your dissertation. Should You Use AI For Academic Research?

LLMs have made impressive strides in recent years, and their potential applications in academic research are vast. However, while it may be tempting to prompt an LLM to write an entire academic paper, it’s important to understand its limitations and use it responsibly.

The short answer is: No. You should not rely on AI to write all the content for your academic research. Use it to assist you, not replace you.

Using an AI system to generate the bulk of your work would be considered cheating. AI models can also sometimes produce outdated, inaccurate, or nonsensical information — a phenomenon known as “hallucinations,” which we’ve already mentioned earlier in this article.

That being said, AI is a valuable collaborator in the research process. AI systems excel at tasks like data analysis, literature review, and ideation. You could use AI to synthesize information and generate unique ideas or perspectives that you may not have considered.

However, always remember that AI is a tool, not a replacement for human expertise and critical thinking. You should always review and verify the information provided by AI systems, and use your own judgment and subject-matter knowledge to evaluate its relevance and accuracy.

The Bottom Line

With LLMs that can do anything, the temptation is always there to misuse it for your assignments and research papers. But take my advice:

Don’t take the easy way out in education.

At the end of the day, academic research and dissertations are there to test your readiness in the real world. It’s there to gauge your intelligence, decision-making, time management, and other soft skills.

The right way of using LLMs and tools like Undetectable AI is to use it as a guide and as a partner. Let them do the small and repetitive parts while you handle the rest.
