Marking their return from March’s international break leading the chase at the top of the La Liga standings, Barca will be looking to make another heavyweight title statement when they meet their historic foes.

While Atletico Madrid might have extended on their Copa del Rey adventure last month as they sent the reigning Spanish champions packing, Diego Simeone’s side have continued to show some worrying defensive issues.

Ahead of what is a blockbuster La Liga battle this weekend, we have taken a glance at some of the most attractive Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona Bet Builder Tips.

Another frantic affair from the capital

While Atletico Madrid might have punched their spot in the final of this season’s Copa del Rey on March 3rd as they clung to a thrilling 4-3 aggregate win, Saturday’s hosts entered the fortnight interval in the midst of a downbeat run.

Last seen suffering major heartbreak away at arch-rivals Real Madrid as they eventually fell to a 3-2 loss at the Bernabue, Atletico have been hit with consecutive defeats across all competitions for the first time since the end of December.

Although Barcelona might have recorded just a single win from any of their last four showdowns outside of Catalonia, the reigning Spanish champions could be smelling the chance to make a major statement here.

With Saturday’s opponents playing out a seven-goal thriller when they met in Copa del Rey duties last month, it is no surprise that Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have a habit of producing frantic affairs.

In fact, seven of the last eight meetings between the two Spanish giants have finished with over 2.5 goals.

Barca looking to widen their buffer

Marking their return from March’s international break holding a four-point buffer over El Clasico rivals Real Madrid, Barcelona will simply be looking to carry on from where they left off prior to the fortnight interval.

Extending on their Champions League adventure last month as they secured a remarkable 8-3 aggregate win against Premier League outfit Newcastle, Hansi Flick’s side have rightfully received a string of plaudits from across the continent.

Signing off February with a thumping 4-1 romp against Villarreal, Saturday’s guests have also gained a fearsome reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third.

Notching a staggering 78 goals in their 28 La Liga appearances this season, Barcelona comfortably hold the best-attacking return among Spain’s elite.

Including a rollercoaster 5-2 victory against Sevilla on March 16th, the former Bayern Munich boss has not seen his squad suffer a single defeat from their previous eight appearances across all competitions (seven wins, one draw).

Atletico’s glaring defensive issues

Although Atletico might have extended on their respective Champions League campaign last month as they secured a thrilling 7-5 aggregate win against English strugglers Tottenham, Saturday’s hosts have shown some worrying defensive issues.

Heading into March’s fortnight interval with that action-packed 3-2 defeat against Los Blancos, Atletico have shipped six goals in their back-to-back losses.

Getting March underway with a 3-0 drumming in Catalonia, Simeone’s leaky defence have remarkably shipped at least a pair of strikes in five of their previous six appearances across all competitions.

It should also be noted, Atletico have registered just a pair of clean sheets from any of their last eight consecutive showdowns in the Spanish capital.

While Simeone’s camp might be cruising their way towards booking another top-four finish in 2026, Atletico’s struggling defence will certainly be asked some serious questions on Saturday night.
