Stacey Dooley: Down the K-Hole
9pm, BBC Three
To be clear, Stacey Dooley says she has never taken ketamine. But it is one of the most popular recreational drugs among those under 24, so she is meeting some of the long-term users who are living with the consequences. From learning about “ket bladder” (passing blood or parts of an eroding bladder in the urine) to hearing how much the drug helps them to “dissociate”, the conversations are eye-opening and often heartbreaking. Hollie Richardson
The Great British Bake Off
8pm, Channel 4
It’s dessert week in the tent, which brings newness in round one: the bakers tackle a signature challenge with staggered starts, so letting one’s errors melt into the general chaos isn’t an option. After a technical bake set by Nigella Lawson, the showstopper is a retro confection demanding classic puddings worthy of a squeaky-wheeled dessert trolley. Jack Seale
Only Fools and Horses: The Lost Archive
9pm, U&Gold
A lovely jubbly watch for fans of the beloved sitcom. David Jason, Gwyneth Strong and Tessa Peake-Jones are among those who sit down to watch never-before-seen cut clips. Episodes include A Royal Flush, Chain Gang and, everybody’s favourite, The Jolly Boys’ Outing – and they all agree they should have been kept in. HR
Blue Lights
9pm, BBC One
It’s finally here: the resurrection (well, flashback episode) of lovely, gravelly voiced Gerry (Richard Dormer) we were promised. And it shows how his relationship with Sandra (Andi Osho) started with a molotov cocktail. Expect plenty of police action, a Chaka Khan rendition, lots of wise words from the man himself – and a romance for the ages. HR
John le Carré: A New Life
9pm, Sky Arts
A psychoanalytical biography of the bestselling novelist, examining how his books reflect the worldview and personal life of the real David Cornwell. The juiciest sections see the talking heads speculate about the late writer’s interactions with women, and whether a serial philanderer was perfectly placed to create fiction about duplicitous people. Jack Seale
Saving Lives at Sea
9.30pm, BBC Two
“Craziest 10 minutes of my life,” recalls Australian surfer Gavin Bowden, saved from drowning last year by 14-year-old Oscar McCrae, a member of the Saunton Sands Surf Life Saving Club. That’s just one of the cockle-warmers here, along with the fearless RNLI rescue of a pair of paddleboarders swept more than a mile out to sea. Ali Catterall

A Want in Her (Myrid Carten, 2024), 10pm, BBC Four
Myrid Carten’s mother, Nuala, is a character, a charmer and an elusive mystery. She is also a woman struggling to get a grip on her addiction issues and the mum that Carten has spent a lifetime trying to find – sometimes when she was missing, presumed on a bender in Belfast, and sometimes when she was right there, smoking rollies in the same room. Carten’s Bafta-nominated debut feature is about this search, involving interviews with other eccentric relatives around rural Donegal. This is documentary at its most lushly poetic. Ellen E Jones
