WandaVision was the first dedicated MCU series to feature on Disney Plus, and is arguably both the weirdest and most creative thing that Marvel has ever worked on.

All nine episodes wrapped up in 2021, but will the show be back for more? We’ve rounded up everything you need to know. We also have similar roundups for Loki and Hawkeye.

Will there be a WandaVision season two?

WandaVision has no plans to be renewed for a second season. This was confirmed by director Matt Shakman in an interview with Collider, though he did state that this “could change” depending on where the overall story arc goes.

That said, one of the characters will be getting a standalone series.

Vision will return in his own Disney+ series

Variety is reporting that Vision will return in his own standalone series, with Paul Bettany returning to the role and Terry Matalas tapped as showrunner – he has previously worked on Star Trek: Picard.

When is the Vision Disney+ series set to release?

WandaVision ending and post-credits explained

Spoilers for the first season of WandaVision, Doctor Strange 2 and The Marvels below.

The final episode set up for multiple plot threads, but we’re mostly interested in what happened to Vision.

White Vision has flown off the grid, and we didn’t find out where he went. However, he now holds the memories of the old Vision, and is no longer a Terminator-esque being hellbent on destruction.

He may be searching for a purpose, or even for Wanda herself. If you’ve watched Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, then you’ll know that he may not like what he’ll find.

Vision aside, the manipulated and distorted version of Westview is gone – with Wanda’s fake Vision and children seemingly with it. The only person still under an illusion is Agatha Harkness (AKA Agnes), who Wanda bewitched to stay as the ‘nosy neighbour’, and seemingly stripped her of her power.

It makes sense that the show didn’t completely kill off Agatha. In the comics, the witch is more of a mentor to Wanda – and by keeping her in Westview without her dangerous powers, people could return to her for advice and information further down the line.

Agatha’s continued story will most likely be explored in her series, Agatha All Along, releasing later this Autumn.

The post-credits also gave us some big teasers, both of which are now resolved.

The first showed Monica Rambeau (AKA Photon) meeting with a Skrull in Westview, who said that there was someone up in space who wanted to meet her. This was of course Nick Fury, who was teased to be up in the galaxy with Skrulls at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. We now know that this was a set-up for The Marvels, which released last year.

The second reveal showed that Wanda has retreated far away to a cabin in the wilderness – but is also studying the Darkhold (The Book of The Damned). Whilst doing so, she heard the voices of her children, Billy and Tommy. This implies that the two are somehow trapped somewhere – presumably the multiverse.

This driving force led Wanda down a dark path in Doctor Strange 2, resulting in her death. However, now we know that Vision is returning, there could be an opportunity to bring the Scarlet Witch back.

WandaVision season 2 trailers and posters

As a second season hasn’t been confirmed, there are no trailers of posters. However, you can check out those for the first season below.

The first full trailer for WandaVision was revealed during the 2020 Emmys:
