Shopping the Black Friday sales can be challenging, especially if you want a new phone, but this deal makes life much easier.
If you were considering a new Samsung Galaxy phone, we’d highly recommend the Galaxy A35 5G right now. The 256GB model usually costs £399 in the UK, but Amazon has dropped the price to just £289 in its Black Friday sale.
That’s a bumper 26% off, and just £1 more than the lowest it’s ever been. What’s more, you also get a free Galaxy Fit 3 smartwatch, which usually costs £69. In total, you’re saving £169 compared to buying the two products separately at full price.
The only caveat is that delivery will take longer than usual – potentially over a month. But the phone and smartwatch you’ll get are worth the wait.
In the US, there’s a similarly great deal on the 128GB version. This usually costs $399.99, but Amazon’s sale means it’s available for only $299.99. This 25% discount means it’s the lowest-ever price the phone has been.
However, if you want to get one of these deals, you’ll need to be quick. Amazon’s Black Friday sale is due to end after Cyber Monday on 2 December, but limited stock means they may sell out before then.
If you’re considering getting one, we’d encourage you to take advantage while you still can. Amazon’s extended returns period means you have until 31 January to send it back for a full refund if you’re not happy.
You’re unlikely to be dissatisfied, though. The Galaxy A35 5G is one of the very best mid-range phones you can buy, offering an impressively well-rounded phone experience.
Its highlights include a price-leading 5 years of software support, great main and selfie cameras, and excellent battery life. While the plastic build makes it feel a little cheaper than flagships, the superb display more than makes up for it.

The only slight compromise is performance, but this is still perfectly fine for most people. If you enjoy Samsung’s slick software and familiar design but don’t want to pay for a high-end phone, this is a brilliant alternative.
