Trump Names New Members of President’s Intelligence Advisory Board

The advisory board will be chaired by Devin Nunes, the former Republican congressman from California.

President Donald Trump has named a new slate of appointees to the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, a panel tasked with advising the president on national security and intelligence matters.

The list, announced by the White House on Feb. 11, includes a mix of former administration officials, intelligence experts, and political allies, underscoring Trump’s continued emphasis on reshaping the intelligence community to align with his “America First” agenda.

In a statement, Trump praised them as a “distinguished and trusted group of Patriots” who represent a broad range of experience and expertise, and will help “restore integrity to our Intelligence Community.”

The advisory board will be chaired by Devin Nunes, the former Republican congressman from California who became a close Trump ally and was a vocal critic of the U.S. intelligence agencies during his tenure as House Intelligence Committee chairman.

Nunes, who left Congress in 2022 to lead Trump’s media company, Truth Social, was a key figure in efforts to investigate surveillance abuses by intelligence agencies and played a central role in defending Trump during the Russia probe. One of Nunes’s most high-profile actions was authoring a memo detailing how the FBI used unverified opposition research—the “Steele Dossier” funded by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee—to obtain a FISA warrant to surveil Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page.

The other appointees are:

Reince Priebus, former White House Chief of Staff and Republican National Committee Chairman, who was a key player in shaping Trump’s early policies.

Robert O’Brien, former National Security Advisor, a lawyer and diplomat involved in international hostage negotiations, who recently backed Trump’s suggestion that the United States should take control of Greenland for national security reasons.
Brad Wenstrup, a former Ohio congressman and Army Reserve officer, who has been a vocal critic of China’s role in the fentanyl crisis.

Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, a former CIA officer specializing in counterterrorism and covert operations, as well as an author and entrepreneur.

Scott Glabe, a former Homeland Security official with expertise in national security law and counterterrorism policy.

Wayne Berman, a longtime Republican strategist who has held senior advisory roles in multiple presidential campaigns and administrations.

Katie Miller, former press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence and a Department of Homeland Security communications official.

Jeremy Katz, an economic policy expert and former deputy director of the National Economic Council under Trump.

Thomas Ollis Hicks, Jr., a businessman, Republican donor, and conservative policy advocate.

Joshua Lobel, a businessman and strategic advisory investor.

The President’s Intelligence Advisory Board provides independent assessments of intelligence operations and their effectiveness. The panel will advise Trump on critical security threats, oversee intelligence practices, and help ensure that intelligence agencies are acting in accordance with presidential directives and national security priorities.
