Withings smart scales are the gold standard. If you can afford one of its new line, launched last year – the Body Scan, the Body Comp and the Body Smart – there’s no better option available.

The Body Scan is Withings’ flagship model and is – at this stage, at least – the ultimate smart scale. It gives you much more than fitness data. It’ll tell you about your health as well.
As well as all the expected body measurements (fat, muscle and bone mass %, water %, visceral fat index, BMI, BMR, standing heart rate and metabolic age), plus in-depth heart health information and nerve health data, the Body Scan offers segmental body composition: thanks to the retractable handle that feature further electrodes, it can give you the fat and muscle percentage in your arms, legs and torso – while other scales can only offer you overall body composition percentages.

Body Comp
The Body Comp is the mid-range scale in the new Withings line, but by the standards of any other brand, it’s a luxury piece of kit. You’ll get all the measurements you need (fat, muscle and bone mass %, water %, visceral fat index, BMI, BMR, standing heart rate and metabolic age), plus a vascular age, to give more insight into heart health, and a nerve health score.
