The Suri 2.0 Electric Toothbrush is Out in a New, Spring-ready Colourway

Summary created by Smart Answers AI

In summary:

  • Tech Advisor reviews the Suri 2.0 electric toothbrush, now available in a new ‘Canyon Sunrise’ deep red color alongside existing mint, peach, blue, black, and white options.
  • This eco-friendly toothbrush features recyclable aluminum construction, plant-based brush heads, IPX7 water resistance, and over a month of battery life.
  • Key improvements include a pressure sensor and more powerful brushing mode, priced at £85/$105 or £105/$135 with UV-C travel case.

Of all the electric toothbrushes I tested last year, the Suri 2.0 was my favourite. Not every electric toothbrush is particularly enjoyable to use, but this one is. It’s light, quiet, it feels pleasant in the hand, its battery life is impressive – so you won’t always be hunting around for a charger – and its design is elegant.

That’s on top of its green credentials. The brush handle is made from recyclable aluminium and the brush heads are made of recyclable, plant-based materials (corn starch and castor oil). Once you collect three, you can send them back to Suri in the pre-paid mailer you’ll get with your replacement heads. They’re less expensive than rival options such as Oral-B iO too.

The Suri 2.0 also comes in a number of cool colour options, including mint green, peach and blue, apart from the expected black and white options. And from today, there’s a new colour: the deep red Canyon Sunrise.

You can buy it from Suri UK or Suri US for £85/$105, or for £105/$135 with its clever charging travel case, which also features a sterilising UV light. It’s a beautifully-made accessory that’ll stop your toothbrush from smelling mouldy when you get it out of your suitcase.

£85/$105 isn’t exactly cheap for an electric toothbrush, I grant you that. But the Suri 2.0 has a number of top-drawer features you’d expect to find on models for twice the price. It has an IPX7 rating, so it’s protected against immersion in water up to a metre for half an hour, it has a two-minute brushing timer with quadrant alerts and a battery life of over a month.

It improves on the original model with a couple of additions. The first is a pressure sensor, which illuminates if you press too hard. It’s not as visible or sensitive as the light ring pressure sensor on the Oral-B iO models, however. The second new feature is a second brushing mode, which is a bit more powerful. It’s this that really sells the 2.0 over the original Suri, which was just a bit too gentle for my liking.

See how the Suri 2.0 stacks up against our other top recommendations in our round-up of the best electric toothbrushes we’ve tested. We also have brand-specific recommendations in our best Oral-B round-up.
