Alongside a release window and new gameplay for The First Berserker: Khazan, Nexon has provided a video outlining the setting and lore. “Unveil the Universe” sees the development team discussing the Pell Los Empire in Arad and the threat of Hismar, a dragon.
Khazan, a famed general, and Ozma, the empire’s greatest mage, worked together to defeat it. While this brought fame and recognition, it also resulted in their downfall, with the Emperor framing the duo for treason. Ozma was executed, while Khazan had tendons in both arms severed before being banished to the mountains.
A sudden avalanche sets him free, however, and from that point, Khazan begins his perilous journey. It’s also revealed that despite his barbarian origins, he fought through the ranks to become the empire’s great general. After his banishment, those brutal skills seem to have resurfaced, as seen in the video.
The First Berserker: Khazan launches in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for more gameplay and details in the coming months.
