The right candidate will be part of a team that includes designers, technologists, strategists, creatives and engineers.
Management and technology consultancy company BearingPoint also has an opportunity open to a jobseeker skilled in AI, as the organisation is looking for a Dublin-based senior technology transformation adviser.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing technology, data, and digital strategies. They should have a background in consultation, ICT, digital transformation, cloud and hybrid infrastructure and an awareness of AI, automation, and advanced analytics.
At technology company Yahoo, the Ireland team has an opening for a professional with AI and machine learning skills. The advertised role is for a Dublin-based senior machine learning engineer. There is also an opening for a senior research scientist who will need to be an expert in developing and applying state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models to solve complex problems, among other responsibilities.
Cybersecurity and data protection
In a bid to protect their organisations against emerging threats, cybersecurity, particularly in light of the incoming quantum requirements, has become a field many companies are eager to invest in.
US medical devices and healthcare company Abbott Laboratories has room for an Ireland-based senior systems engineer. The role will involve conducting cybersecurity risk analytics, driving maturity improvements in OT security, serving as a technical expert for manufacturing data and operations systems and leading risk assessments and validation activities for data acquisition systems. E-commerce platform Rent the Runway is also looking to boost its cybersecurity and protection teams with a compliance analyst role, where the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting compliance activities and ensuring adherence to technology and security standards. This person will work closely with the senior director of information security, tackling challenges associated with governance, risk and compliance.
US pharmaceutical company Viatris also has a vacancy on a number of its European teams for a professional with security and compliance skills, in a manager QA IT position. The right candidate will work across a range of areas, such as computer system validation, IT oversight, quality and compliance and risk and security.
Semiconductors
The semiconductor space is growing rapidly and is certainly an exciting and dynamic sector for skilled professionals looking to be a part of the next wave of innovation.
US multinational Intel has several opportunities within the deep-tech space for people qualified to work in the semiconductor industry. Current roles in Ireland include physical design engineer, deep learning hardware design engineer, or if you envision a career on the legal or advisory side of the semiconductor space, a role as legal counsel in manufacturing and commercialisation.
In Cork, multinational technology company Qualcomm is also recruiting people with semiconductor related skills to its operations. The company is looking for more than one CPU design verification engineer, a GPU design verification engineer and a CPU post silicon and power engineer.
Biotechnology and life sciences
Many of the companies in the biotechnology and life sciences sectors are at the cutting edge of deep-tech innovation, as they work to create solutions to many of the challenges facing the world today.
Biotechnology company Amgen has openings for a range of roles with the organisation, at its Dun Laoghaire facility. Opportunities include a role as an equipment process engineer, a QC microbiology senior manager and a specialist in QC bioanalytical sciences.
Pharmaceutical MSD also has a couple of job vacancies that might appeal to Ireland-based professionals with deep-tech skills and ambitions, in areas such as specialist engineering, clinical trial coordination, microbiology and statistician specialising in chemistry, manufacturing and controls, among others.
