In summary:Upgrades could significantly increase value

In summary:

  • Tech Advisor reports that Samsung Galaxy S26 series US pricing is expected to remain unchanged from the S25, with UK prices likely starting at £799.
  • The series features significant upgrades including Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets, Qi2 wireless charging, and One UI 8.5 with improved Bixby.
  • Launch is rumored for February 25th with March 11th release, offering enhanced hardware without price increases for consumers.

How much will Samsung’s next flagship phones cost?

It’s a question we’ve been asking ever since the first Galaxy S26 series rumours began, and there’s been plenty of uncertainty in recent weeks.

However, a new rumour might have answered the question once and for all.

A leaker with an impressive track record for Samsung news, Anthony AKA @TheGalox_, recently posted the US starting prices for all three Galaxy S26 phones to his X account:

Galaxy S26 series | US

S26
– 12/256GB: $799
– 12/512GB

S26 Plus:
– 12/256GB: $999
– 12/512GB

S26 Ultra:
– 12/256GB: $1,299
– 12/512GB
– 16/1TB

While it’s an incomplete pricing picture, these starting figures are significant. This is the first time we’ve seen US prices revealed, and they’re identical to the Galaxy S25 series.

Previously, a report suggested that pricing would increase, potentially on all three models. That may still be the case elsewhere, but given @TheGalox_’s history, the US looks set to escape.

And, if the last two generations are anything to go by, UK pricing would follow suit. At £799, the Galaxy S26 would be one of the cheapest flagship phones around, while the S26+ and S26 Ultra would still be priced in line with key rivals.

Upgrades could significantly increase value

While a relief, it isn’t particularly noteworthy for pricing to remain the same between generations.

However, the upgrades rumoured for the Galaxy S26 phones could make them much better buys than their predecessors.

Key rumoured improvements include new chipsets across the range (Exynos 2600 for regular and Plus, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Ultra) and built-in Qi2 wireless charging. The Ultra specifically is expected to get 60W wired charging and a new privacy-focused display coating to reduce viewing angles.

The phones could also ship running One UI 8.5, which looks set to deliver several key software improvements, including the long-overdue upgrade to Bixby.

It now looks almost certain that we’ll be waiting a little longer than usual for the Galaxy S26 series, though. The latest rumours suggest the phones will be unveiled on 25 February in San Francisco, before being released exactly two weeks later on 11 March.
