While the future is looking dire for anyone who’s a fan of IPs like Splinter Cell, it seems Ubisoft hasn’t given up on Rayman after its big shuffle. A listing for Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition has recently emerged courtesy of the Australian Classification Board (thanks, Gematsu), registered on January 22nd and rated “G” for very mild violence.
According to Insider-Gaming’s Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is reportedly working on two Rayman titles. The first is codenamed “Iceman” and meant to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary. It’s allegedly out “very, very soon,” and considering the naming, that describes the recently rated title to a tee. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen such a release – see Beyond Good and Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition.
The second project, “Steambot,” is arguably more intriguing since it’s allegedly a remake of Rayman Legends. Eagle-eyed fans will likely recall the reports that emerged in September 2025 about the project, which is reportedly scheduled for release in late 2026. Development is allegedly going quite well, and depending on its performance, Ubisoft could greenlight Rayman 4, a new mainline entry.
As for the 30th Anniversary Edition, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a re-release of the limbless wonder’s original trilogy – Rayman, Rayman 2: The Great Escape, and Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Stay tuned for any further updates in the meantime.
