Rajiv Jain's GQG Partners hikes stake in 5 Adani Group companies in Rs 5,094-cr block deal

jiv Jain-backed GQG Partners on Tuesday raised stakes in five Adani Group companies via multiple block deals. The stocks in which he added his stakes are Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), Adani Green Energy, Adani Energy Solutions and Adani Power. The investment company spent a total of Rs 5,094 crore to buy shares in these companies.

1) Adani Enterprises

GQG Partners bought around 53.42 lakh shares in the company via GQG Partners International Equity CIT in three blocks. The shares were bought at Rs 2,462 apiece taking the deal size to Rs 1,315.20 crore.

Adani Enterprises today ended at Rs 2,439 on the NSE, down by Rs 23 or 0.93% over the Monday closing price.

The seller was Reliance Trust Institutional Retirement Trust Series Eleven.

GQG Partners bought nearly 73.17 lakh shares in the company in two tranches at a price of Rs 1507.6 apiece. The total deal size stood at Rs 1,103.14 crore. The shares were sold by Reliance Trust.

Adani Ports shares today ended at Rs 1,491.20, down by Rs 16.40 or 1.09% over the Monday closing price.

GQG held 2.42% stake in APSEZ, representing over 5.21 crore shares as on September 30, 2025.

3) Adani Green Energy

GQG bought over 77.39 lakh shares in this company in three tranches at a price of Rs 1,088.6 per share. The total deal size was Rs 842.53 crore. Reliance Trust was the seller.

Its shares ended at Rs 1,077.20 on the NSE, down by Rs 11.40 or 1.05%.

GQG held 2.46% stake in the company, representing over 4.04 crore shares as on September 30, 2025.

4) Adani Energy Solutions

GQG bought over 53.94 lakh shares in two tranches at a price of Rs 1,021.55 a piece. The deal size was Rs 551.08 crore. The seller was Reliance Trust.

GQG held 1.86% stake representing over 2.23 crore shares in the company.

5) Adani Power

GQG bought over 83.61 lakh shares in three tranches at a price of Rs 153.28 apiece. The deal size was Rs 1,281.57 crore. The seller was Reliance Trust.

GQG held 1.54% stake representing over 29.23 crore shares in the company as on September 30, 2025.
