Pixel 8a Price Slashed to £9 with this Flash Trade-In Deal

The Google Pixel 8a has just gone on sale and you can get the smartphone for as little as £9 in this incredible, but limited-time, trade-in deal.

It sounds too good to be true, but the official Google store is offering £150 bonus credit when you trade in your old mobile phone. This deal, as is often the case, won’t be around forever so you have until 23:59pm on 3 June to make your purchase – you then have 30 days to send your phone in once the Pixel 8a has arrived.

To get the Pixel 8a for less than the price of two fancy coffees, you’ll need to trade in an Apple iPhone 14 Plus with 512GB capacity to get a whopping £490 off. The phone must also be in good condition: it must turn on, have no cracks and a working screen.

In the US, you can actually get Google to pay you $5 for the phone, but you’ll need to trade in an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 1TB of storage. Without the same bonus credit offer, the 14 Plus in 512GB will get you $370 off the 8a.

Some might argue that trading a 2022 iPhone 14 Plus for a 2024 Pixel 8a might be a downgrade in some respects. Regardless, if that’s not the phone you’re holding and thinking you want to move on, there are lots of other good trade-in values on a wide range of makes and models – plenty of which are many years old, so you may struggle to get this much for them elsewhere.

Here are some examples of the best prices:

  • iPhone 12 Pro Max (512GB) – £430
  • iPhone 13 mini (512GB) – £389
  • Pixel 7 Pro – £348
  • Pixel 6a – £257
  • Pixel 5 – £235
  • Samsung Galaxy ZFold 3 – £347
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra – £290
  • Samsung Galaxy S10 – £221
  • Samsung Galaxy A52 – £210
  • Motorola Moto G7 Power – £191
  • LG V40 ThinQ – £200
  • OnePlus 11 – £224
  • Sony Xperia XZ Premium – £195
  • Xiaomi Pocophone F1 – £206

There are 100 different phones you can trade in with the £150 bonus credit when only considering Apple, Google and Samsung devices so there’s a good possibility that your phone is accepted.

Google’s Pixel 8a arrives as a cheaper way of getting much of the firm’s flagship style and features without splashing out on a Pixel 8 or 8 Pro.

The phone comes with a market-leading seven years of software support (including Android OS updates), a new 120Hz OLED screen, the same Tensor G3 processor as its bigger brothers, high-quality cameras and Google’s latest AI tricks including Circle to Search.

It’s set to be one of the best phones of 2024, so this deal is a great opportunity to grab one at a heavily discounted price. Alternatively, you can get a Galaxy S24 from just £499 or a Galaxy A55 for only £289 – but those deals are also limited so be quick.

Shopping on the Google store get your next-day delivery for free, optional financing and Google One subscribers (200GB and above) get benefits like 10% back on purchases in store credit.
