In a surprise move, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is still on sale after it received a Cyber Monday discount. For a limited time, you can save $50 on the bundle, which essentially makes it like you’re getting Mario Kart World for free.
After only being available at Walmart, Amazon and Target have also discounted their bundles. The bundle’s price won’t show up until you add the item to your cart, and for Walmart and Amazon you’ll have to sign into your accounts before adding it. Once in your cart, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will show up with the $50 discount, bringing the $499.99 bundle down to $449.99 (which is the price of the standalone console). At full price, the bundle saves you $30 on Mario Kart World (which retails for $79.99, wowza), so that extra $50 off basically makes the game free. It’ll come as a digital download for your new console.
While Switch 2s are readily available at this point, the bundle being on sale is a bit of a surprise. None of the product pages specify how long the bundle will be on sale for, so strike while the iron is hot — and while it’s in stock. Amazon has had fluctuating stock throughout the week, and it could sell out quickly at any of the retailers.
The Switch 2 launched on June 5 and sold more than 10 million units in just under four months, making it the biggest console launch ever. With Nintendo’s new initiatives and plans, expect the Switch 2 to continue to dominate sales charts.
Outside of Mario Kart World, the Switch 2 has amassed a versatile library of games. Kirby Air Riders and Donkey Kong Bananza are a couple of must-play exclusives, and the library is further bolstered by Switch 2 editions of Nintendo flagships (Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Super Mario Party Jamboree) and third-party games (Hades 2, Cyberpunk 2077).
