Netflix is making it easier to watch your favourite shows in the language you’re most comfortable with.

In a recent update, the streaming giant has finally rolled out its full list of subtitle and dubbing languages to TV users, giving people access to far more choices than before.

Up until now, you could only pick from a few languages while watching on TV — a bit frustrating, especially if you knew other options were available on your phone or laptop. That’s now changed, and it’s something many users have been asking for.

Netflix expands TV language options for global viewers

According to Netflix, this upgrade comes after they were flooded with language availability requests every single month. It turns out, a big chunk of Netflix’s audience is tuning in for non-English content — nearly a third, in fact.

So whether you’re watching Korean hit Squid Game, Spain’s popular Berlin, or the German Oscar-winner All Quiet on the Western Front, you’ll now have a better shot at finding subtitles or audio that suit you — right from your remote control.

More dubbing and subtitles on Netflix TV for an easier viewing experience

In total, Netflix offers subtitles in 33 languages and audio dubbing in 36 — although availability may still vary by title. The big news is that TV viewers are no longer limited to a small list.

It might seem like a small change, but it’s a big deal for millions of people who enjoy foreign-language films and series. It also shows Netflix is paying attention to what people want — and making global content that little bit easier to access from the comfort of your sofa.
