In summary:

  • Tech Advisor reports leaked specifications for the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, an upcoming mid-range smartphone expected to be an affordable alternative to the Motorola Signature.
  • The device may feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 5200 nits brightness, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, and massive 7,000mAh battery with 68W charging.
  • With robust IP68/IP69 ratings and anticipated pricing similar to its predecessor’s £299.99 launch, the Edge 70 Fusion could offer premium features at budget-friendly pricing.

Specifications for the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion have leaked, promising a cheaper alternative to the hotly anticipated Motorola Signature.

We’ve seen the Motorola Edge 70 and have heard plenty about the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra – or rather, the Motorola Signature. Now it’s the turn of the entry point to the series, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, to rear its head.

Respected tipster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) has taken to X to post a bunch of specifications for the forthcoming Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, seemingly codenamed ‘Avenger’.

Motorola edge 70 Fusion – “Avenger”

SoC: SD 7s Gen 3

Screen: Corning Gorilla Glass 7i
RAM: 8/12GB

Front cam: 32MP

Blass claims that this mid-range smartphone will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which we saw previously running the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. This will be backed by either 8 or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In case there was any doubt, this confirms that the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is going to be another affordable phone. The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion launched at £299.99, and we can’t see its follow-up bumping that up too much.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion display and design

With that said, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion’s display looks to be a decent upgrade. If these rumours are true, it’s set to be a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED with a bolstered 5200 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and a higher 144Hz peak refresh rate.

It’ll be fronted by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which will curve away on each edge. Motorola’s distinctive nylon and linen-inspired rear material will make a return across five colours: Orient Blue, Sporting Green, Blue Surf, Country Air, and Silhouette.

As before, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will be more than a pretty face. Expect some impressive design certification digits, including MIL-STD-810H, IP68, and IP69.

Motorola Edge 70 camera, battery and software

All we know about the main camera at this point is that it’ll use a 50Mp Sony Lytia sensor, with a 32Mp camera around front.

We also learn that it’s going to pack an impressively large 7,000mAh battery and 68W wired charging.

Just about the only spec that has us slightly concerned here is the promise of just three major OS upgrades, just like the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. It’s a little behind the best, even at this end of the market.

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion was released in early April 2025, so we’re expecting to hear something solid on the follow-up over the coming months.
