Mel Owens is on a search for love in the upcoming second season of The Golden Bachelor. ABC announced Mel’s casting in April 2025, and naturally, fans were dying to know more about the former NFL player — especially since he was married for a long time to his first wife.
Per Mel’s ABC bio, the “devoted dad” is “ready to rediscover a love rooted in the simple joys of companionship — sharing life’s everyday moments, making plans for the future, and growing stronger together as a couple.”

According to court documents viewed by Hollywood Life, Mel’s former wife is Fabiana Pimentel. She filed for divorce from Mel in February 2020.
