Deride Marvel Rivals as an Overwatch imitator if you must, but give NetEase credit for finding innovative new ways to appeal to the hero shooter’s unabashedly thirsty audience. Enter Lady Loki, a new costume for existing Strategist hero Loki that will give Marvel Rivals fans a new, comics-accurate look for the Norse trickster god(dess).
Yes, the previously teased Lady Loki costume is not a skin for Hela as some Marvel Rivals fans predicted (and feared). It’s a full-on reskin of Loki, complete with new voiceover. Otherwise, Lady Loki plays just like Loki, based on a reveal trailer for her skin. She’s got Loki’s Mystical Missile, Deception, and Doppelgänger abilities, just with a new appearance that will appeal to a certain audience more than ready to part with their Lattice.

Now that NetEase has broken the seal with a gender-bent skin for Loki, Marvel Rivals fans are considering the possibilities for similar swaps, including Gwenpool as the forthcoming Deadpool, Jane Foster as Thor, and Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman. But will NetEase have the guts to give us one-time Ms. Marvel Sharon Ventura as She-Thing? Only if the fans demand it!
