Suspect detained after crashing into Jennifer Aniston’s property
According to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokesperson Officer Jeff Lee, the crash took place at around 12:20 pm on the 900 block of Airole Way, a quiet and exclusive neighbourhood in Bel Air. Officers responded to a call regarding a “burglary suspect” who had driven a vehicle through the property’s gates.
Security at the scene acted swiftly. A private guard detained the suspect until police arrived. Officer David Cuellar told CNN that the owner of the house “was at home at the time of the incident,” seemingly confirming Aniston’s presence.
The LAPD identified the suspect as 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle. According to ABC News, he was booked on Tuesday for felony vandalism due to the damage caused. However, his booking was delayed after he complained of back pain and was taken to hospital.
Law enforcement sources told ABC News the incident does not appear accidental, though it remains unclear whether Aniston was deliberately targeted. Authorities are currently reviewing the suspect’s background and social media activity as part of the investigation.
Aniston’s representatives have declined to comment on the incident.
