20:00 Slavia Prague vs Barcelona 20:00 Juventus vs BenficaWednesday’s Champions League Double

With the European action rolling onto Wednesday night, the penultimate round of Champions League group stage showdowns will steal centre stage in midweek.

As Premier League strugglers Liverpool turn their attention back to European duties, the likes of Chelsea and reigning Spanish champions Barcelona will headline a stacked schedule.

For those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have taken a glance at some of Wednesday’s most attractive Champions League betting tips.

20:00 Slavia Prague vs Barcelona

Watching their sensational purple patch come to a shock end over the weekend as they slumped to a 2-1 loss away at Real Sociedad, Barcelona are desperately searching for an immediate response here.

Nevertheless, still leading the chase at the top of the La Liga standings and regarded as a standout contender to defend their domestic crown in 2026, Hansi Flick’s men have still won each of their other 11 appearances across all competitions.

Crowned Super Cup champions over in Saudi Arabia last week as they secured a thrilling 3-2 victory against arch-rivals Real Madrid, the Spanish icons should be excited to turn their attention back to Champions League duties on Wednesday night.

Despite showing some inconsistencies on the continent this season, Barca know that they could official punch their knockout stage ticket here and they will be confident of making a statement on foreign soil.

Last seen in European action claiming a 2-1 win at home against German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, Flick’s superstar squad are hopeful of mounting a genuine Champions League charge this year.

Heading into the festive break holding a commanding seven-point buffer at the top of the First League table and appearing to defend their domestic crown at a canter this season, Slavia Prague have embarked on yet another Czech romp.

However, officially getting the New Year underway with a monumental challenge at the Fortuna Arena, Jindrich Trpisovsky’s men have drastically failed to find their feet on the European stage.

Last seen in Champions League action getting blown away at a struggling Tottenham as they slumped to a routine 3-0 drumming in north London, Slavia are still waiting to put a maiden Champions League victory on the board.

Likewise, registering just three points from any of their six European showdowns this season, they have also failed to find the net in all of their last five straight showdowns on the continent.

Falling to that 2-1 loss when they last welcomed Barcelona to the Fortuna Arena back in November 2019, Slavia will be more than aware that they face another monumental challenge in midweek.

Slavia Prague vs Barcelona Betting Tip: Barcelona win & Under 4.5 goals @ 21/20 with Pribet

20:00 Juventus vs Benfica

Watching their sensational purple patch come to an abrupt end over the weekend as they slumped to a shock 1-0 loss away at Cagliari, Juventus will be seeking an immediate response on Wednesday night.

However, knowing that they could wrap up a Champions League knockout stage ticket here, the Old Lady will be excited to make a return to Turin in midweek.

Last seen in European action clinching a 2-0 win against Champions League debutants Pafos, Luciano Spalletti’s men have gained a reputation for their extended dominance on home soil.

Including a 2-1 win against bitter domestic rivals Roma, Juventus are unbeaten in all of their 14 showdowns in Turin across all competitions so far this season. Likewise, Spalletti’s side have not suffered a single defeat in front of their own supporters over the past 10 months.

However, despite not suffering consecutive defeats since the end of October, Juve could face a potential European banana skin in midweek.

Claiming a welcomed boost over the weekend as they secured a 2-0 victory away at Rio Ave, Benfica will be desperate to use that gritty performance as a platform to build on.

Watching their Primeira Liga title dreams take a major blow on either side of opening the New Year, Jose Mourinho’s men have won just a pair of their previous five appearances across all competitions.

Despite being pencilled in as a major underdog on Wednesday night, the Portuguese giants will certainly be excited by a shock record in Turin.

Landing a 2-0 victory when they last travelled to Juventus for a Champions League showdown 12 months ago, they have won back-to-back trips to the Old Lady by an aggregate score of 4-1 and they will be looking to spring another iconic upset.

Securing another 2-0 win when they travelled to Dutch giants Ajax on November 25th, Benfica are more than capable of asking some real questions on foreign soil.
