This year’s entries are all ‘high calibre’, says Irish Medtech’s director.

Deciphex, ICS Medical Devices and CergenX are just some of the companies that have made it to this year’s Irish Medtech Awards.

The annual competition, run by Irish Medtech, the Ibec group that represents the medtech sector, Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland, is taking place this year on 3 and 4 December in Galway.

“Ireland continues to be a location of choice for global medtech leaders, this is evident with the strength of entries for the awards this year,” said John Nugent, the department manager of medical technologies and healthcare services at IDA Ireland.

“The organisations shortlisted across all categories enhance the Irish medtech ecosystem and have demonstrated dynamic strategies to adapt and compete on the international stage.”

This year’s two-day event will also consist of Medtech Connect-plus, a showcase where start-ups will be able to demonstrate their disruptive innovations in the field and connect with industry leaders. This pitching event is targeted at innovative SMEs seeking potential investment or acquisition in the future.

“As a global medtech hub, Ireland has a proud history of innovating for the future to transform lives. This has been reflected in the high calibre entries for the Irish Medtech Awards 2025, and I’d like to thank all those who took the time to share their success stories with us by submitting entries,” said Dr Eoghan Ó Faoláin, the director of Irish Medtech.

“This incomparable event attracts in excess of 400 senior leaders annually to network and get ahead of the latest trends,” he added.

Last year, Freudenberg Medical, a global contract design and manufacturing partner to the medical device and biopharma industry, won Medtech Company of the Year Award at the competition. Other winners included Luma Vision, Boston Scientific Cork and Galenband.
