The next Warbond coming to Helldivers 2 will let you get up close and personal — or up closer and even more personal — with Super Earth’s enemies. Coming May 15 to PlayStation 5 and Windows PC, the Masters of Ceremony Premium Warbond will unlock a vintage sword, a new marksman rifle with a sharp bayonet, and the option to lance Tyranids with the business end of the Super Earth flagpole.
So, yes, there’s a lot of melee-focused action in Helldivers 2’s new Premium Warbond. But there’s also a new throwable, the G-142 Pyrotech Grenade, that unleashes a dazzling fireworks display before it blows stuff up, and the R-2 Amendment rifle offers stopping power both at range and up close.
Note that the CQC-1 flag pole is a Stratagem. If you want a vintage, stylish melee weapon at your side, the CQC-2 sabre is your best option.
The Masters of Ceremony Premium Warbond also includes a swath of cosmetics: armor sets, capes, banners, emotes, and victory poses.
Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios recently said on its Discord that its “cooking” on other content, and that, in the wake of Thursday’s Premium Warbond reveal, “there will be more exciting news to come not long after.” So if you’re tired of Warbonds, stay vigilant; it sounds like Arrowhead has something meatier on the horizon.
