Google will launch its Pixel 10 smartphone range on August 20, a little later than initially expected.
Android Headlines initially reported that Google would be announcing its new flagship smartphone series on August 13, but that date appears to have slipped back a week.
It’s now reporting that the launch of the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold has been “confirmed” to take place on August 20. Pre-orders will start on the same day, with availability set for August 28.
Whether this date slip is accurate or not, these dates broadly align with last year’s model. The Pixel 9 series was announced on August 13 and hit shops on August 22.
It would mean that previous predictions of an earlier Pixel 10 launch – potentially in June – were wide of the mark, however.

Pixel 10 design
The Pixel 10 design is broadly known at this point, and there will be no surprises here. After the Pixel 9’s design overhaul, Google is going to go with much the same look and feel to before.
This has only been reinforced by shots of an apparent Pixel 10 Pro prototype, which appears to have been snapped out in the wild.
Tipster Mystic Leaks (via Android Authority) posted the snaps on a Chinese social media platform, and they appear to be the real deal.
Besides confirming that it’ll look much like the Google Pixel 10 Pro (except for a smaller camera bezel and a repositioned SIM tray), the images appear to confirm that it’s running on a new Tensor G5 chip, under the codename ‘Blazer’.
Only the fact that this is listed as a 5nm chip gives us pause, as the tensor G5 is expected to be built using a more advanced 3nm process.
We also see that the Pixel 10 Pro will run on 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage – again, all in line with its predecessor.
