How to watch Despicable Me 4 now
The new movie in the Despicable Me series is now available exclusively in cinemas.
The film premiered in the US on 3 July 2024. Tickets can be bought on the AMC and Fandango websites.
UK viewers can get tickets from Cineworld, Odeon, and Vue.

When could Despicable Me 4 be released on VOD?
Universal Pictures, who distributes the Despicable Me series, hasn’t yet revealed any information on the new film digital release. However, we will try to estimate when the movie might debut on VOD platforms.
It depends on how Despicable Me 4 performs at the box office.
The previous film in the franchise, the successful Minions: The Rise of Gru, appeared on VOD two months after its theatrical release. Another smashing hit, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, was available to rent and buy after a month and a half from its opening day.
However, box office disappointments like Fast X, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, and The Fall Guy appeared on VOD just three weeks after their cinematic debut.
For now, it seems that Despicable Me 4 is doing well at the box office, so Universal probably won’t rush its digital release.
Thus, the film may premiere on VOD in late August or early September 2024.

When could Despicable Me 4 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
Physical copies of Universal movies usually hit stores a month or two after the VOD release. However, that time may vary depending on the film. The Super Mario Bros. Movie was released on DVD and Blu-ray after four weeks, Fast X after eight weeks, and The Fall Guy after nine weeks.
On the other hand, physical copies of Minions: The Rise of Gru became available for purchase just one week after its VOD release.
If our predictions above are correct, Despicable Me 4 may premiere on DVD and Blu-ray this fall, probably in early October 2024.
When could Despicable Me 4 be released on streaming services?
In the US, the new movie from the Despicable Me series will first stream on Peacock. Later, the film will appear on Netflix, and after a few months, it will return to Peacock. Finally, Despicable Me 4 will drop on Prime Video.
