The Game Awards are just a few days away, and the nominees for the Players’ Voice category — which is decided on entirely by public votes, not the private voting body that selects nominees for the other categories — have finally been revealed.
To absolutely no one’s surprise, both Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hollow Knight: Silksong both made the cut. The full list of games nominated for the Players’ Voice Award are:
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Dispatch
- Genshin Impact
- Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Wuthering Waves
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was already the most-nominated title in The Game Awards history, with 12 nominations. But the addition of the Players’ Voice nomination marks the dark sci-fi RPG’s 13th nomination. In addition to the Players’ Voice category, Clair Obscur also received nominations for Game of the Year, Best Art Direction, Best Audio Design, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Score & Music, Best Independent Game, Best RPG, Debut Indie Game, and three nominations for Best Performance (Charlie Cox, Jennifer English, and Ben Starr).
As for Hollow Knight: Silksong, the Players’ Voice nomination is its sixth nomination at this year’s Game Awards. It has also been nominated for Game of the Year, Best Art Direction, Best Score & Music, Best Action/Adventure Game, and Best Independent Game.
