If the queue before release wasn’t impressive enough, Battlefield 6’s open beta has reached nearly 335,000 peak concurrent players on Steam. Keep in mind that it’s not widely available for all players – you need to have an EA Play Pro membership, be registered for Battlefield Labs or have obtained an early access key to play.
Yet, even before the weekend, its current peak total of 334,549 players is more than three times higher than Battlefield 2042’s lifetime record (107,376). Compared to other titles on Steam, its peak has already beaten Starfield (330,723), Destiny 2 (316,750), Elden Ring Nightreign (313,593), and many more.
Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10th, but in the meantime, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC players can look forward to accessing the beta on August 9th to 10th and August 14th to 17th. Check out all the changes made based on Battlefield Labs’ feedback here (including a new Path for the Recon class).
