When will Avatar: Seven Havens be released? How many episodes will Avatar: Seven Havens have? What is the plot of Avatar: Seven Havens? Is there a trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens? How to watch Avatar: Seven Havens

Twenty years after Avatar: The Last Airbender first debuted, Nickelodeon has announced that a brand-new animated series set in the same universe is in development.

It’s called Avatar: Seven Havens and it’s currently in production. This is the third show in the animated universe, taking place after Avatar: The Legend of Korra.

If you want to know when the elemental animation will return, and more importantly, who the new Avatar will be, then keep on reading. You can also read our piece on what we know about season 2 of the live-action Avatar Netflix series.

When will Avatar: Seven Havens be released?

Avatar: Seven Havens was first confirmed on 20 February 2025, though no release date was given.

It’s expected to hit screens after the already confirmed animated film about Aang (currently untitled according to the press release, but rumoured to be Aang: The Last Airbender), which is set to arrive on 30 January 2026 and will follow the original cast of Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph and likely Zuko, as adults.

Therefore, we wouldn’t expect to see this new series until later in 2026 at the very earliest but that all depends on how long production takes. It could be in 2027, or even later.

How many episodes will Avatar: Seven Havens have?

A press release from Nickelodeon confirmed that Seven Havens will be split into two seasons, or ‘Books’. Each book will consist of 13 episodes, meaning the show will have 26 episodes in total.

What is the plot of Avatar: Seven Havens?

Here is the description of the new Avatar series:

Avatar: Seven Havens is set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm. A young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra – but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.

According to rumours from Knight Edge Media, the new Avatar will be called Pavi who has a twin sister called Nisha. While Pavi struggles to live on the streets, Nisha lives a life of luxury. When the pair reunite, they both claim to be the Avatar. Of course, none of this is confirmed.

As the new Avatar is an Earthbender, we assume we’ll see some of the locations in the previous Earth Kingdom such as Ba Sing Se and Omashu.

We could also get spirit appearances from Korra and Aang, just as we did with other previous Avatars in the other shows.

Is there a trailer for Avatar: Seven Havens?

While there’s no footage for the new animation, you can watch the announcement video from the official Avatar Instagram, as announced by voice actors Dante Basco (Zuko) and Janet Varney (Korra) via their Avatar podcast:

How to watch Avatar: Seven Havens

As this announcement was made by Nickelodeon, it will air on these TV channels. But what about streaming?

Nickelodeon usually syndicates its shows onto Paramount+, and the press release seems to indicate that with the following quote: “The Studio’s output will bow on platforms including Paramount+”.

That said, all the other Avatar: The Last Airbender shows are currently on Netflix, so there could be a chance that it’s syndicated here as well at a later date.

The showrunners are the original creators of Avatar, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. No cast members have been confirmed for the new series thus far.
