After a decade together, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt split in 2016, leading to a tumultuous divorce and subsequent custody battles over their six children: Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox. Although the public has always had an interest in the famous kids, they were thrust into the spotlight even more as their parents endured a years-long court battle.
Between the boys of the brood — Maddox, Pax, and Knox — are three girls: Zahara, who is adopted, and Shiloh and Vivienne, Angelina’s biological daughters. The girls have spent more time in the spotlight as of late; not just due to their mom’s messy court battles, but because they seem to love accompanying Angelina at Hollywood events and seemingly do not have a problem spending time in public with the possibility of being recognized. Moreover, in British Vogue‘s March 2021 issue, Angelina offered a rare glimpse into her life with her children through a series of intimate at-home photos amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I feel like I’m lacking in all the skills to be a traditional stay-at-home mom. I’m managing through it because the children are quite resilient, and they’re helping me, but I’m not good at it at all,” she shared. Adding that she and the kids are “a team,” the Academy Award winner said, “They’re pretty capable.”

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt
Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt was adopted by the Salt actress from Ethiopia in 2005 at just 6 months old. Zahara is Angelina’s second oldest in her brood, behind older brother Maddox, who was born in Cambodia in 2001.
The 16-year-old helped inspired her parents’ charity work, including The Jolie-Pitt Foundation‘s creation of the Zahara Program and the Zahara Children’s Center, which were launched to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis and provide further research on the disease in Ethiopia (The foundation similarly created the Maddox Chivan Children’s Centre in their son’s name to help with families affected by HIV/AIDS in Phnom Penh). Like her older brother, Zahara has also made moves into Hollywood, having starred alongside her mom in Kung Fu Panda 3 as the voice of Meng Meng.
Angelina revealed she learned a lot from Zahara during a TIME 100 interview with activist Vanessa Nakate in July 2020 amid discussions of Black Lives Matter. “My daughter is from Ethiopia, one of my children,” she said. “And I have learned so much from her. She is my family, but she is an extraordinary African woman and her connection to her country, her continent, is very — it’s her own and it’s something I only stand back in awe of.”
In recent months, we’ve seen Zahara and Angelina out together in more public settings, including the Eternals movie premiere. Zahara notably showed up to the LA event in Angie’s gorgeous 2014 Elie Saab gown. Zahara also rocked an edgy, yet stylish look with her mom (and siblings) while shopping in NYC in January 2022, putting her blue hair on display.
Zahara accompanied her Oscar-winning mom to the White House on March 16, 2022, for the reauthorization of the powerful Violence Against Women Act, which aims to support victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Zahara, dressed in a chic wool coat, and Angelina, donning a sophisticated ensemble, joined other advocates in cheering on the landmark law’s renewal.
In August 2022, Angelina dropped Zahara off at Spellman College for the first time, which proved to be an emotional event. “Angelina has always had an incredibly close bond with Zahara so seeing her off to college is very bittersweet,” a source exclusively told HollywoodLife at the time. “They have been spending some extra alone time together because Angie knows how much she’s going to miss her little girl.”
“They’ve been doing all the typical mother-daughter stuff to prepare her for school. Shopping for books, school supplies, plus everything she needs to make sure she’s comfortable in her dorm while living on campus,” the source continued. “They got an extensive tour of the school before moving in and Angie is so excited to see her daughter flourish in such a beautiful environment. She thinks it’s an excellent school and is so excited to watch her baby grow up.” As exemplified above, Angie showed off how proud she is of her daughter on Instagram following the milestone move.
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is Brad and Angelina’s first-born biological child. The teen — who definitely looks like a spitting image of both her parents — was born in in Swakopmund, Namibia and has dual citizenship in the African country and the United States.
In June 2010, Angelina opened up about her daughter’s personality. “Shiloh’s hysterically funny, one of the goofiest, most playful people you’ll ever meet,” she gushed to Vanity Fair, adding that she was most like Shiloh as a kid. “Goofy and verbal, the early signs of a performer,” she noted. “I used to get dressed up in costumes and jump around. But at some point, I got closed off, darker. I don’t remember anything happening. I think you just get hit with the realities of certain things in life, think too much, start to realize the world isn’t as you wished it would be, so you deepen.”
It’s unclear if Shiloh plans on following her parents’ footsteps and become an actress. Although, like her siblings, she appeared in Kung Fu Panda 3 as the voice of Shuai Shuai. It is known that she’s been taking dance classes for years, which has gained her a great deal of attention. She’s been spotted on numerous occasions heading to dance class in Los Angeles and has shown off her impressive skillset in several dance videos that have been shared online.
An insider previously told Hollywood Life exclusively that Angelina signed Shiloh up for dance lessons, and she immediately flourished. “Shiloh started out with private lessons before she joined a small studio near their house and then all through the pandemic, she was doing Zoom classes. She’s very committed to it,” the insider explained.
“Angelina‘s amazed by how talented Shiloh is, but more than that she loves to see how happy Shiloh is when she’s dancing,” they continued. “A career in dance is something that she could pursue one day, but Angelina is not pushing her in that direction at all, she encourages her to do it simply because it makes her happy.”
As she did as a young child, Shiloh has been playing with her appearance throughout her teenage years. In May 2022, she debuted a red rinse makeover.
Even more exciting, Shiloh got her license in 2022 and was spotted driving around Southern California a few times in the fall of 2022. According to another person close to the Jolie-Pitt girls, the Academy Award-winning actress is “thrilled” for Shiloh to have some moe independence. “It’s nerve-wracking for any parent when their kid firsts get behind the wheel, but Angelina’s already been through this with her three oldest, so she knows how to handle it fairly well at this point,” the source told Hollywood Life exclusively.
In April 2026, Sholie made her acting debut in K-pop artist Dayoung’s music video for “What’s a Girl to Do.”
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt is Angelina and Brad’s youngest daughter and as mentioned above, is also a fraternal twin of their son Knox. Like her siblings, she has starred opposite her mom in her films, including Maleficent as a young Princess Aurora. In 2014, Angelina explained that they cast her daughter in the role because she was the only child that was not afraid of her in her costume.
“We think it’s fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors. That’s not our goal for Brad and I at all,” she explained to Entertainment Weekly. “But the other 3- and 4-year-old [performers] wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv.”
Vivienne is clearly a girl of many talents and learned Arabic alongside her siblings. “I asked [my kids] what languages they wanted to learn and [Shiloh]’s learning Khmer, which is the Cambodian language, Pax is focusing on Vietnamese, Mad has taken to German and Russian, [Zahara]’s speaking French,” the Golden Globe recipient revealed to BBC Radio 4 in 2016 (via E! News). “Vivienne really wanted to learn Arabic and Knox is learning sign language.”
