It was recently reported that Amazon Prime and Sony’s God of War TV series was opting for a change in creative direction, with showrunner Rafe Judkins and executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus set to leave the project, with an entirely new creative team set to be hired. Now, it seems we know what will be leading that team.
As reported by Deadline, the God of War show has found a new showrunner, writer, and executive producer in Roger D. Moore. For those unfamiliar, recent years have seen Moore serve in those same roles for successful shows such as Outlander for Starz and For All Mankind for Apple TV. Going back further, he led the Battlestar Galactica reimagining, while earlier in his career, he also had extensive involvement in multiple Star Trek shows and films.
As reported previously, development on the God of War show will be starting over from scratch, though Sony Santa Monica’s Cory Barlog and Yumi Yang will continue to serve as executive producers, as will PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan, PlayStation’s Hermen Hulst, and Vertigo’s Roy Lee.
