Aly Raisman is an American Gymnast, who was a member of the United States Olympic team in at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. At the 2012 Games, she got two gold medals, for the team and floor events. She also took home a bronze medal in balance beam. Then, in 2016, she receieved the gold medal for the team event, as well as a silver medal for individual all-around and floor exercise. In 2020, Aly announced that she was retiring from gymnastics and would not be a member of the 2020 Olympic team.

Aly was also one of the many female gymnasts who came forward and spoke out about facing abuse at the hands of Larry Nassar, who used to be a U.S. gymastics physician. She spoke at his sentencing hearing in January 2018. Additionally, Aly competed on Dancing With the Stars and finished in fourth place with her partner, Mark Ballas.
