Ireland is an ideal location for US companies to ‘set up shop’, due to the current tax rates, its position as a gateway to the rest of Europe and its highly skilled workforce. For those reasons, there are roughly 970 US companies operating in Ireland, employing around 211,000 people.

For ambitious professionals in Ireland, there are plenty of opportunities to work for interesting, US-founded companies in a broad range of sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, medtech, cybersecurity and technology, among others. So, if you are looking to find a new role in a US company located in Ireland, read on to see if there is an opportunity waiting for you.

Medical devices and healthcare company Abbott Laboratories currently has 121 openings in Ireland. Tech jobs include a manager for manufacturing engineering, several network engineers, a cloud data engineer lead and a cyber incident response analyst. Last year, the medtech giant opened a new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny to develop products for diabetes diagnostics and care.

If you are based in Ireland, with ambitions to work for New Jersey-headquartered Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), why not consider applying to its Cruiserath, Dublin office. Vacant job opportunities include a role as a senior specialist in QC microbiology, maintenance engineer for sterile drug products and EHSS specialist.

Datavant

Arizona-headquartered Datavant recently announced its expansion into Ireland with the opening of its new global R&D centre in Galway.
