In addition to its campaign, which can be played both solo and co-op, the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is also going to have a couple of additional multiplayer modes on offer in the form of the recently unveiled PvP mode Eternal War and PvE mode Operations– and regardless of which mode you find yourself in, you can rest assured that you won’t have to deal with any microtransactions.
That’s as per publisher Focus Entertainment, which recently took to Twitter to confirm that there will be no microtransactions and no in-game story in the upcoming action title. “All gameplay content and features will be free to all players,” the company wrote. “Paid DLCs will be cosmetic only.”
It’s worth noting that a Season Pass has already been confirmed for Space Marine 2, and is set to be included with its Gold, Ultra, and Collector’s Editions. Details on what the pass will entail, however, are currently scarce.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches on September 9 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Pretty psyched by the incredible reception of the SM2 news from yesterday!
Just wanted to clarify:
