If you’re on the hunt for an affordable streaming stick this Black Friday, you don’t need to look any further than Walmart.
Walmart’s Onn Streaming Stick supports Google TV OS, which offers a wide range of streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and more. Better yet, it’ll cost you just $9, rather than the standard price of $15.
GET the Onn Streaming Stick for just $9
Like rivals such as the Roku Streaming Stick Plus, this HDMI dongle plugs into the back of your TV, and features a compact remote that can control playback, volume, power and has shortcuts to various apps such as YouTube and HBO Max. It even supports Google Assistant voice support for hands-free navigation.
The media box supports 1080p resolution and HDR10+ support, built-in Chromecast to cast photos, videos and music from your phone to your big screen and 8GB storage/1.5GB RAM.
The main drawback of this little device is that doesn’t offer 4K streaming. However, that shouldn’t be a problem if you’re looking at using it for a secondary TV in a bedroom or kitchen, or if you only subscribe to streaming plans on the base tier rather than forking out extra for UHD support.
This price is incredibly good, especially when you consider that Google’s own hardware, the TV Streamer, is discounted only to $75. While you’ll get faster performance and a higher resolution, if you’re looking for a bargain, Walmart is the way to go – but we expect this deal to end once Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over.
