If you’re on the hunt for the latest 4K streaming box with Google TV, but don’t like the look of the Google TV Streamer price tag, then your search may soon be over.
Onn streaming devices are sold exclusively through Walmart and boast the user-friendly Google TV interface, along with an affordable price tag. There are several in the portfolio, but 9to5Google reports that a new device leaked in early customer reviews and briefly appeared on Walmart’s website. It’s called the Onn 4K Plus.
Although the Onn 4K Plus listing page has since been taken offline, Reddit posts suggest that the streamer is available in some stores across the US for a bargain price of $29.98.
For comparison, the Google TV Streamer is three times that price at $89.99 – the latest Onn product is even $20 cheaper than the now-discontinued Chromecast with Google TV (4K).
Despite being priced under $30, you seemingly get a lot for your money. Besides the familiar Google layout and Ultra-HD quality, there’s 16GB of storage, a quad-core processor, support for Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and Wi-Fi 6.
9to5Google also reports that the listing page previously showed that users can access the Google Home Panel for smart home controls. This started as an exclusive TV Streamer feature but has since rolled out to more Google devices.
Sadly, we don’t know when the listing will be back up online. However, the fact that it’s available in stores should suggest that it won’t be long. If you’re near a Walmart, it may be worth doing your grocery shopping there to see if it’s made it to your local area.
