Bandai Namco is gearing up to roll out the next update for Tekken 8, and has revealed exactly what the patch will bring with it. Set to go live on April 16 (depending on what time zone you’re in), the patch is going to be a relatively minor one, with a couple of notable additions and changes.
For starters, new items are being added to the in-game shop in the form of avatar skins for seven characters. Tekken 8’s post-launch addition of microtransactions has proven controversial (especially when paired with the more recent introduction of a battle pass), but those looking for a greater variety of cosmetics will soon have more options to peruse.
Additionally, the upcoming patch will also bring bug fixes and balancing tweaks for a number of moves and fighters. Additionally, recently added DLC character Eddy Gordo’s starting rank in online modes will also now match that of existing characters.

Tekken 8 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
