Pauline the character has been around for pretty much as long as Super Mario has been a thing, but it wasn’t until 2017’s Super Mario Odyssey – where she appeared as the mayor of New Donk City and sang the iconic song “Jump Up, Superstar!” – that she gained mainstream popularity. Now, with Nintendo continuing to shine the spotlight on her, she has been added to another upcoming title.
Nintendo has confirmed that Pauline will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Mario Party Jamboree. She’ll also be joined by the star-shaped Ninji, an enemy that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2.
That means Jamboree’s roster of playable characters currently stands at 22 characters strong, with several returning mainstays also set to return, including the likes of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Birdo, Shy Guy, Boo, and many others.
Super Mario Party Jamboree will launch for the Nintendo Switch on October 17. It will require 6.5 GB of free storage space.
