Spanish second-hand fashion retailer Micolet has expanded its presence in Portugal after acquiring Portuguese MyCloma, the companies confirmed in a joint announcement.
The deal strengthens Micolet’s customer base, infrastructure, and digital reach in the growing Iberian circular fashion market.
Micolet and MyCloma
Micolet, which specialises in selling pre-owned clothing online, said the integration of MyCloma is part of a growth strategy aimed at optimising its distribution network and expanding its reach across Portugal, a market where it already operates (as reported by FashionUnited).
The merger will add MyCloma’s customer base and commercial structure, with the goal of consolidating “a more competitive platform in a context increasingly marked by business concentration and the need for operational efficiency.”
MyCloma has described the deal as “a natural evolution” in its mission to extend the life cycle of garments and encourage more responsible consumption.
The company confirmed it had communicated the transition directly to its customers, both via social media and through personalised messages to those with items currently for sale.
The integration process includes the gradual redirection of MyCloma’s website to Micolet’s Portuguese domain, which will help centralise operations under a single platform and facilitate user migration.
According to the announcement, the deal will also reinforce Micolet’s physical infrastructure and enhance its digital capabilities, allowing the retailer to better compete in an increasingly consolidated recommerce market.

Recently, South Korean tech giant Naver completed the acquisition of Spanish resale platform Wallapop, further underscoring the rapid growth in the second-hand fashion industry.
