The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 looks increasingly likely to receive the upgrade it’s been crying out for.
For a couple of years now, the Galaxy Z Flip series has been lagging behind with its small, underutilised external display. That looks almost certain to change with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Earlier in the month we brought you news of a leak concerning the Flip 7’s external display. The claim was that it was going to cover a whole half of the external surface.
Now a fresh leak appears to have confirmed those claims.
What does the latest Flip 7 leak show?
This time the leaked information comes courtesy of established tipster Ice Universe, who has posted renders of a third party Flip 7 case to Weibo.
The case itself is neither here nor there (though we’re digging the colours), but the render of the phone that fills that case tells us a lot.
It appears to confirm that we’re looking at an approximately 4-inch edge-to-edge cover display for the follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. This promises to accompany a 6.85-inch internal screen.

Whey we’re confident in this Flip 7 leak
If you’re wondering why a third party case manufacturer should be trusted on this, then you’re right to show caution. A pinch of salt should always be applied with such things.
However, it’s an established practice for case manufacturers to receive precise measurement and specification details ahead of a phone’s launch, either through official or unofficial means. There’s no value in manufacturing a bunch of cases if they don’t fit like a glove, after all.
Combined with the renders posted earlier this month, it seems all but certain that Samsung is finally addressing one of the biggest weak points of its compact foldable range. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra should have some major competition this year.
