Summer may have been a mixed bag so far, but if you’re in the UK, you can expect the temperature to start rising again from today. That means stuffy working days and nights lying awake sweltering.
But not if you take advantage of the Prime Day sale and invest in a new fan while they’re cheaper than ever. Here are our top picks. We gave all of these fans 4.5 out of 5 stars in our reviews, which you can find linked below.

Dreo Air Circulator Fan
Emma Rowley / Foundry
In the UK, the Dreo air circulator fan is usually £74.99, but you can pick it up for £63.74 in the Prime Day sale.
In the US, its ordinary price is $99.99, but you can get it today for $84.99.
This is our favourite fan overall. It pretty much does it all. It oscillates vertically and horizontally, it has smart controls and it’s quiet. Most of all, though, it is hugely, hugely powerful.
Its day-to-day price makes it good value, but during the Prime Day sale, it’s a steal.

Duux Whisper Flex
Emma Rowley / Foundry
The Duux Whisper Flex is usually £144.49, but you can get it in the Prime Day sale for just £119.
The beauty of this fan is that you can use it as a table or a pedestal model, with a quick transformation. It is also a beauty of a fan: it’s a single shade throughout, with a matt finish, which makes it look much less institutional. There are several colour options to choose from, so you have a better chance of it blending into your home décor.
It’s almost completely silent and it has both app and remote control.

Meaco Sefte table fan
Emma Rowley / Foundry
Meaco’s Sefte fan is usually £119.99, but Currys has the best Prime Day price of £109.99.
Meaco claims an operating volume of just 25dB on this table fan – and that’s hard to argue with, as you can barely hear it at all. It’s a great choice for a bedroom fan.
One of its best features is its thermostat, which allows you to set it to an eco mode that adjusts the fan speed to match the room temperature.
It oscillates as well and comes with a remote with glow-in-the-dark keys, so you won’t lose it in the night.
