You would think that Pokémon Legends: Z-A couldn’t unveil any more surprises close to launch, but Game Freak showcased some new Mega Evolutions in its final trailer. It also announced the Mega Dimension DLC, available after finishing the main story and focusing on a new Mythical Pokémon, Hoopa.
Mega Dimension adds space-time distortions to Lumiose City thanks to Hoopa’s powers, and two new Mega-Evolved Pokémon – Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. You’ll need different Mega Stones for each, both found in the DLC dimension.
As for base game owners, they can look forward to Mega Evolutions for Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja. They’ll require new Mega Stones, which can be obtained from the Z-A Battle Club (the new four-player free-for-all mode) and Ranked Battles. Game Freak also confirmed that the latter offers rank promotion and end-of-season rewards alongside battle rewards.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A launches on October 16th for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. A new Switch 2 bundle will be available on the same day for $499.99 (while supplies last).
