Sony’s efforts to reach out to and partner with studios in countries where AAA development has traditionally had less of a presence has borne fruit in different ways, whether that’s with Korean studio Shift Up and its action title Stellar Blade or with the many Chinese studios the company has partnered with through its PlayStation China Hero Project.
Every year, we typically get to see quite a lot more of the latter with the company’s showings at the annual ChinaJoy event, and Sony has confirmed that this year will be no different.
Taking to Chinese social media platform bilibili, PlayStation announced that it will be in attendance at ChinaJoy 2024 later this month, between July 26 and July 29. The company has yet to reveal which games it will be bringing to the event, writing, “We will continue to publicize more booth information in the near future, and look forward to seeing you all at ChinaJoy.”
Sony currently has several major projects in the works with partnered studios under the China Hero Project umbrella, many of which fans will be hoping to see more of, including the likes of Lost Soul Aside, Evotinction, Daba: Land of Water Scar, The Winds Rising, and more.
