NBA 2K25 is the latest version of 2K Sports’ basketball simulation, released in September 2024. NBA 2K25 features 2K’s ProPlay tech that “directly translates NBA footage into engaging gameplay” and includes a long list of modes, including MyCareer, MyTeam, MyNBA, and The W, with WNBA players from a variety of eras. NBA 2K25 will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Alone in the Dark is the 2024 reimagining of the survival horror classic, with David Harbour and Jodie Comer starring as the game’s dual protagonists. Alone in the Dark will be playable on PS5.
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a Jet Set Radio-inspired action platforming game in which graffiti crews equipped with personal boostpacks battle each other for control of the streets. Players traverse on inline skates, skateboards, and BMX bikes, throwing up graffiti to claim territory. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will be available on PS4 and PS5.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape is a major expansion for Bungie’s shared-world sci-fi shooter, in which players journey into the heart of the Traveler and put and put an end to the War of Light and Darkness. The Final Shape will be available on PS4 and PS5.
June 2025’s PS Plus Essential games will be available for download through June 30.
PlayStation Plus Essential is the lowest tier available in Sony’s subscription service. It offers online multiplayer access, a monthly assortment of free PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases. PlayStation Plus Essential costs $79.99 annually, $24.99 for a three-month subscription, or $9.99 monthly.
