Oppo has officially launched its new budget tablet, the Oppo Pad SE.
The new tablet launches today at a price of £219, which pitches it directly against the likes of the Redmi Pad 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+.
It features an 11-inch 90Hz LCD with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. This can get up to 500 nits of brightness, and Oppo is calling it an “Eye-Care Display” thanks to its low-blue light and flicker free features.
This is housed in a 7.39mm-thick metal body, which comes in Twilight Blue.

The Oppo Pad SE’s display is flanked by four speakers, which utilise Omnibearing Sound Field technology to adapt the sound output to your surroundings.
The tablet runs on a MediaTek Helio G100 processor with 4GB of RAM, which is a decidedly budget set-up. You’d expect as much for close to £200, of course. There’s a solid 128GB of storage.
Oppo has packed its tablet with a large 9340mAh battery, and there’s support for up to 33W SuperVooc charging.

On the software front, Oppo seems at pains to talk up the Pad SE’s Personalised Kids Mode, which allows parents to easily control screen time and app access.
The company’s O+ Connect feature, meanwhile, promises to let you share photos and videos with Apple’s iOS devices. Cross device connectivity should be decent, with the ability to mirror your phone screen onto the tablet and instantly share photos, videos, and other files.
The Oppo Pad SE is available in the UK from today, both on the official Oppo E-store and through the EE network.
