The Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Find X8s have been teased, but there’s reason to believe we might never see them in this country, or much of the world, for that matter.
The designs for the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Find X8s+, and Find X8s were recently unveiled by the company itself on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, including a brief teaser video ahead of their official launch on April 10.
These snippets of media reveal a trio of classy devices covering the super-sized, moderate-sized, and (relatively) compact flagship spaces.
What do the new Oppo Find X8 images show us?
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is giving off serious Xiaomi 15 Ultra vibes. It’s right there in its huge raised-black-circle of a camera module, not to mention the way it towers over the other two.
All three phones lack the Find X8 Pro‘s Alert Slider. As announced by company co-founder and CEO Pete Lau, the company is ditching this in favour of a contextual button.
The Oppo Find X8s+ sits right in the middle of the pack with a slim body but a regular-looking footprint, while the Oppo Find X8s appears to be the device formerly referred to as the Oppo Find X8 Mini. This could be a genuine rival to the Google Pixel 9 Pro, Xiaomi 15, and Samsung Galaxy S25.
Or at least, it could have been if Oppo was remotely inclined to look to the global markets.

Limited release for the new Oppo Find X8 phones?
As related by GSMArena, Oppo seems unlikely to make these three new Oppo Find X8-series phones available outside of its native China.
This would be a crying shame if, as seems likely, it proves true. The Oppo Find X8 Pro is available to buy in the UK and beyond, and it’s one of the very best phones you can buy.
Our reviewer handed out a hugely positive 4.5 out of 5 review, praising its awesome camera system, great battery life, rapid performance, and useful AI features.
Providing further options, both in terms of pricing and form factor, could well have catapulted Oppo into the elite league, mixing it with Samsung and Google.

Why Oppo probably won’t launch these phones in the UK
After what appeared to be a renewed push into the UK a few years ago, Oppo seems to be conducting something of a strategic withdrawal.
The brand has exited its high-profile sponsorship deals with both the Wimbledon and French Open tennis tournaments in recent years. At around the same time, about two years ago, the brand was forced to deny that it was abandoning the UK and European markets altogether, including with its OnePlus sub-brand.
Indeed, the ongoing presence and relative success of the OnePlus brand on these shores suggests a targeted approach from Oppo rather than a wholesale withdrawal. It seems to be prioritising OnePlus over its own label here and indeed across other Western territories.
When that produces strong efforts like the OnePlus 13, we really can’t complain. When it means that we miss out on the super-skinny Oppo Find N5 foldable, and now probably the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and X8s series as well, we most certainly can and will.
