OnePlus launched its shiny new Watch 3 recently, but a rather embarrassing typo has stolen some of the spotlight and potentially made your smartwatch a collector’s item.
If you’ve missed the buzz online, the first batch of OnePlus Watch 3 devices came with a laughable misprint on their backplate, reading “Meda in China” instead of “Made in China”.
OnePlus has since responded to the humorous gaffe, with the brand’s US team acknowledging that the typo was “totally unintentional.”
In good spirits, they even joked about it, suggesting that anyone lucky enough to own a “Meda in China” Watch 3 might want to hold onto it as a “super limited edition”.

Of course, if you’re not keen on owning a typo-ridden timepiece, OnePlus is also offering free returns. However, if you grabbed one of these typo-blessed watches, think twice before sending it back as you might just have a quirky piece of tech history on your wrist.
Priced at £319/$329.99, the OnePlus Watch 3 is available in two stylish finishes: Obsidian Titanium and Emerald Titanium.
