Three-time world champion Ng On Yee booked her place in the semi-finals of the US Women’s Open in Seattle to remain on course for a first victory at the event.
The Hong Kong player will face England’s Tessa Davidson in the last four on Sunday after completing a 3-0 win over American Frances Tso in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, evergreen potter Davidson produced a 58 knock in a 3-2 win over Mongolia’s Narantuya Bayarsaikhan to secure her first major semi-final since reaching the final of the 1999 British Open.
The other semi-final will see India’s Anupama Ramachandran meet Rebecca Kenna after Anupama completed a 3-2 victory over defending champion Mink Nutcharut.
Kenna was too strong for home hope Molina Ortiz in easing to a 3-0 win after topping Group A to reach the last eight.
Ng had topped Group B earlier on Saturday with four straight victories to reach the quarter-finals, which included a 2-0 win over Anupama boosted by a fine 90 break.
The semi-finals get underway at 6:30pm BST on Sunday night with the best-of-seven frame final at midnight.
