It’s Not E3 season, which means Summer Game Fest is set for Friday and Xbox’s high-stakes showcase streams a few days later. But an expected deluge of reveals and updates isn’t slowing down business as usual: Right on cue, Microsoft has announced the latest updates to the Game Pass service, with a limited June lineup of games that should bide time until whatever is announced during the showcase actually comes out.
Following a similarly short May lineup, June still offers a little something for everyone. Lauded RPG Octopath Traveler has returned to the platform along with its slightly less lauded but equally gorgeous-looking sequel Octopath Traveler 2. Dead Space fans should be keen to try The Callisto Protocol, a 2022 sci-fi survival horror game that wasn’t a total knockout but had plenty of the DNA that made Dead Space games great — so a perfect Game Pass game? Those looking for something new should keep eyes peeled on Still Wakes the Deep, horror game set on an oil rig that’s going day 1 on the service.
