One of last year’s mobile surprises was Nothing’s excellent budget phone CMF Phone 1 – check out our glowing CMF Phone 1 review to find out more – and now the company seems to have a sequel in the works.
Nothing has uploaded a short teaser video for a new CMF Phone to the social media platform X and to the company’s own forums, writing that that the new phone is “coming soon”.
In an update, the brand clarified exactly what would be launching and when: “CMF Phone 2 Pro, alongside a trio of buds – CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a and Buds 2 Plus.
Monday, 28 April at 14:00 PM BST / 18:30 PM IST / 15:00 PM CET / 09:00 AM EST”

The video doesn’t reveal too much about the CMF Phone 2 Pro, although it does mention a new “textured, tactile” finish. And one detail is clearly visible: unlike its predecessor, the phone seems to have only one camera on the back.

We’ll just have to wait for Nothing to reveal more details about the CMF Phone 2 Pro, as the burning question is over whether it’ll retain its Accessory Point and if so, how many different accessories we’ll be able to screw into the phone.
For the uninitiated, one of the CMF Phone’s unique design features is a knurled dial. Nothing calls it an Accessory Point and it can be removed and replaced with either a lanyard, a kickstand or a card wallet – all of which are optional purchases that retail for £19/$25 each.
